Sr. Anne Marie Biography
Sister Anne Marie Schreiner is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and is a member of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. In 2016 she celebrated her diamond jubilee with 60 years in religious life. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Akron in Ohio.
In 1978 Sister Anne Marie received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This event
was life changing. Wherever she has been assigned, she has been active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Sister has served in leadership roles and as a spiritual director, teacher, advisor, and motivator.
Sister Anne Marie served the Diocese of Birmingham for thirteen years from 1999 to 2012. During that time, Birmingham was richly blessed by her love of Jesus and her contagious enthusiasm to share His love! She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church where she generously volunteered her time to serve in many areas, especially in the healing prayer ministry.
Sister has ministered in elementary education, in work with retired priests and sisters, in parish ministry in rural and inner city situations, in a hospital library,
in spiritual direction and as director of retreats. Currently, Sister Anne Marie resides in Washington, DC where she spends time ministering in St. Luke's Catholic Church and St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Two days a week are spent ministering with the retired Josephite priests in Baltimore, MD.
